The ecommerce web site design program is being developed by group of like-minded shop owners, programmers, designers, and consultants that think ecommerce web design could be and should be done differently.

Some shopping cart solutions seem to be complicated programming exercises instead of responding to users' needs, Zen Cart puts the merchants and shoppers requirements first. Similarly, other shopping cart software programs are nearly impossible to install and use without an IT degree, Zen Cart can be installed and set-up by anyone with the most basic web site building and computer skills.

There are hundreds of shopping cart programs available, but none come close to offering the level of options, features and support available with Zen Cart. Even the commercial programs have a hard time competing.

WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT
The development of each website is just as important as its design. Our goal with approach to each client is to provide seamless form and function. Your website should not only look amazing, it should help you or your business operate in the most practical, accessible, and user-friendly manner possible.

WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
The following outlines our web-development process, which can be broken down into several logical components:

GOALS - The first priority is to establish the goals of the project. This is where we ask such questions as: What is the target market? What benefits will this site provide them? And, What are the expected outcomes of this project?

STRUCTURE - The next step is to outline the site's content structure and navigation requirements. This may include both public and administrative-only components. Is this website going to include an online marketplace? Will it need to updated regularly, or will it remain somewhat static, once complete?

TIMELINE - In this phase, a timeline is developed and a production schedule implemented. This assures that the client's project remains on schedule, and it assists the FreeMarket Media Group team in managing its work flow

DESIGN PHASE - The design phase begins with a face-to-face meeting between the client's project-managers, and our management team, including the Artistic Director. A home-page design preview is created for the client's review. Several options may be presented, based on the client's input and/or previous branding materials. Once approved, FreeMarket Media Group begins creating proofs for each significant page on the website.

CONTENT COLLECTION - Once the site structure is finalized, the client is requested to submit content, itemized by page. This may include both pictures and text.

PRODUCTION - The content is then passed on to our development team to create the actual web-pages. Each business or individual's website has different functional requirements. Those components selected during the planning process are now added by our development team.

QUALITY CONTROL - Each client's project is assigned a dedicated Project Manager. Their job is to advocate for the client throughout the web-development process.

LAUNCH - Once all the pages have been designed and built, software applications developed and installed, and the overall site has been approved by the client, the site is launched publicly. A press-release is written by FreeMarket Media Group's marketing team and sent to every appropriate print-publication in the region. We then create an e-flyer which is sent to each of our contacts, announcing the new website.

We like to complete the entire process in 30 days.

ONGOING SUPPORT - FreeMarket Media Group remains available to the client following the launch of the site, through maintenance, technical support, updates, and improvements.
