This has been a big week of updates for me. I’ve upgraded from XP to Vista, Installed Wordpress 2.1 and even upgraded the look and feel to this blog. Here’s how it all went… it was really easy.

If you’re a frequent reader here, I’m sure you’ve already noticed I’ve updated the look and feel of the site. It’s needed it for a long time and I’ve finally found one I really like. I’ll be making some minor changes to it over the next few weeks. I guess you could say I’m in Beta right now. FYI - You’ll soon see some audio blogging and video blogging up here as well.  Stay tuned for more details!

Everytime you update your blog, a little shiver runs up Google’s spine. This is really no joke. The search engines love blogs because they are updated frequently. Having a blog is one of the best ways to improve your search engine rankings. Content the King reigns here. Pepper targeted keywords into each post you make, drive traffic from your blog to your Web site, and promote your products and services all in one place. Blogging is a sure fire way to generate more traffic to your site.

Blogging Can Make You Extra Money

You can really put your blog to work for you in many ways that will help you to make extra money. You can promote your affiliate products in your blog and include links to order pages. You can use programs like Google AdSense in your blog and earn commissions when your readers click on those advertisements. You can even join referral programs where you promote the services of other businesses and collect a commission each time someone places an order using the link you use on your blog. But most importantly, you can drive your readers (Read: potential customers) to products and services within your own site.

Blogging Can Build Relationships with Customers

Having a blog is a great way to let your customers get to know you so you’re more than just another online business. Blogging help build relationships. People are more inclined to buy from people they know (or feel like they know), so the more you can build your relationships, the more successful you’ll be in selling your products and services.

The Power of Multiple Blogs

My recommendation is to always have a blog installed on your own site. There are a couple of great blogs that I recommend: Wordpress and Textpattern. They install easily and can be heavily modified so the integreate into any site. That being said using free online services like blogger can drive traffic to your site by adding links to your site in the posts. Running multiple blogs can help greatly with the search engine ranking since a major criteria tht they loook for is relevant inbound links. And as an added bonus, readers of your other online blogs are more likely to become customers. Why? If they click the links in these posts, they have already found value in what you are saying, thus more likely to be interested in more. The purpose of multiple blogs is to have several places where you can filter people into your site. Consider it free advertising.

Stop, take a deep breath, and examine your life. Are you excited about your current career? Are you earning the salary you want or even deserve? Many people feel stuck in a rut because they are not making the kind of money that they once thought they would. The good news is that you can take control of your situation and pick yourself up out of that rut. Everyone deserves to be a millionaire, even you!

What are the benefits to creating your own wealth? First of all you will have freedom to do anything you want, whenever you want. You can pack up your family and take a trip to Europe on a moment’s notice if you want to. You can determine when you will work and when you will take breaks. You have eliminated the obligations to anyone else including a manager that may be a nuisance.

Building your own wealth enables you to leave the corporate world behind. The corporate world can be very rigid in that you have minimal control over your promotion schedule. Most companies have a set promotion schedule and cap off the amount of your salary increases and bonuses. This stifling condition can be a thing of the past.

Along with newfound freedom come increased family time and a life style that is comfortable and relaxed. You will have the security of plenty of money to spend and retire on. You will feel in control of your life and finances. This personal empowerment is amazing and can add new vigor to your mind and body.

Enjoying your wealth sounds amazing, right? Why isn’t everyone a millionaire? Why doesn’t everyone seek out personal empowerment and the security of money? There are several reasons as to why the majority of people are not millionaires. A major reason is that most people don’t have a system to make it happen. They simply do not understand how to go about building their own wealth.

Many people also believe that they don’t have the ability to create wealth. They feel the notion of being a millionaire is impossible and only available for the “chosen” ones. Some people feel that being wealthy is wrong and greedy. This mindset needs to be adjusted because being wealthy is a positive venture that is possible for everyone to achieve.

To conquer these misgivings people should seek out a structured system that will help them create wealth. Look for a mentor or coach that is successful so they can help guide you along the process. For example, a mentor can teach you how to structure your business so you can take advantage of tax breaks that will decrease your taxes by 60-70%. A mentor can advise you on how to set up your business properly to avoid being sued.

Another stumbling block to wealth is if you are stubborn. Stubborn people may think they know everything. If you want to create wealth then you need to leave your ego at the door. Having an ego can hinder your chances of being successful.

Additional tips to creating your own wealth include:

* Follow the piles of cash. Find people who have successfully created wealth and learn from them. Remember, it’s not only what you know, but who you learn it from. Learn from someone who is more successful then you.

* Learn the tricks of the trade from someone that has actually built wealth and not just written a book about it.

* Forget the past. It does not matter who you are or where you came from. Everyone deserves to be a millionaire.
